Solemn Traditional Latin Mass in Malta
Together with members from the French Parish of St. Eugene and the Schola Sainte Cécile choir, the Apostolate of St. Paul Malta was able to celebrate a Solemn Latin Mass.
A Solemn Mass (missa solemnis) is the full ceremonial form of the Tridentine Mass, celebrated by a priest with a deacon and a subdeacon, requiring most of the parts of the Mass to be sung, and the use of incense. It is also called High Mass or Solemn High Mass.
Rev Fr. Nicholas J. Doublet was the main celebrant of this solemn Traditional Latin Mass, which took place at St. Paul’s Church in Birkirkara Malta on the 27th of August 2017.
